Lenovo Brightness Won't Adjust
fresh install of CentOS 7 (1611) 64bit on a Lenovo Z570(i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz). The 'Fn' brightness keys bring up the brightness gnome applet but the screen brightness does not change.. same from the power settings screen brightness control.Basically my Laptop Screen is really really bright and I cannot turn it down with the fn keys. Although they show the sun and the value bar going up or down it does not change the brightness itself. I am having this issue on any OS running. This is really unpractical as it drains the battery quicker and is really unconfortable to look at at night. My computer screen has a blue box that pops up and say 'Controls locked'. I am assuming that the buttons on the bottom right hand corner of my moniter is what it is talking about because when I hit the Menu button, to change the color or contrast, the box comes up again and says that the controls are locked. How do I unlock them in order to get rid of the box that says 'Controls Locked'?
